yes, this is the same situation as shaving creams. you can buy shaving cream that comes out as a gel and then you rub it into a foam. or, you can get shaving cream that comes out as a foam. the one with the gel weighs more so you get more product, but both are the same price.

i guess it's a matter of convenience that some people are willing to pay for.
