I can only LOL at all these negative posters... if they are not interested in piercings why are they here? at least if u decide a tongue piercing isnt for u, then u can take it out, there is no visible scarring and noone knows any different. And as long as u go to a professional, reputable piercer nothing will go wrong. So whats the big deal?

Piercing has progressed so much today that they can do pretty much anything with any part of ur body. Ur tongue isnt too short, they can work with what they have got, thats what they are trained for. If u r worried, go and speak to a piercer before u go and tell them of ur troubles, they will reassure u. Before they do the piercing, they do mark where its going to sit. U will be able to have a look and see if u think it looks alright. When piercing, they are quite aware of all the veins and stuff and where they shud and shudnt pierce. The main thing to worry about with any piercing is the aftercare, not the piercing itself, which only last a second or 2. As long as u follow the instructions they give u, there are no hassles and u will find if something happens, they are always happy to give follow up advice too. The tongue does swell a bit and it is hard to eat for a while, but i think its worth it really. To be different eh? You can even get ur tongue pierced horizontally now, going thru and across ur tongue, so if they can do that, im sure ur tongue being a lil short will be no probs :)
